SSPH+ Science Talk 02-2020 - Three currently ongoing sero-survey studies in Ticino

In this video, Prof. Dr. Emiliano Albanese (director of the Institute of Public Health at USI) and Prof. Luca Crivelli (director of the Department of Business Administration, Health and Social Affairs at SUPSI) present three sero-survey studies currently ongoing in Ticino. The first one is the CoV-2-IG, which is a serological study conducted in healthcare workers, through a collaboration between hospitals (Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale and Clinica Luganese Moncucco), the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) and Humabs BioMed (a subsidiary of Vir Biotecnologies). The second one is the SARS-CoV-2 sieroprevalenza, which is a population-based study designed and conducted by the Chief medical Office, the Canton Ticino and the Ticino Medical Association. The third one is Corona-Immunitas Ticino, which is part of the national SSPH+ initiative and is conducted jointly by Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI).
