G1 Corona Immunitas Bern

Corona Immunitas Bern aims to measure the proportion of the population exposed to the virus SARS-CoV-2 in the canton of Bern starting in November 2020 (Phase 3 of Corona Immunitas). We will invite 200 adults aged 20 to 64 years and 200 adults of 65 years and older living in all five regions of the Canton of Bern, based on a random sample selected by the Federal office of statistics. We will collect blood samples and use serological tests to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. In addition, participants will complete questionnaires about their symptoms, behaviours and the impact of the pandemic. As part of the Corona Immunitas national effort, our study will contribute to the monitoring of the evolution of the pandemic.

The Corona Immunitas study in Bern will end with the last questionnaire sent on November 26, 2021. Between phase III and phase IV, we were able to recruit more than 1000 patients in the whole canton of Bern. About 800 visits were made at the Inselspital. The last 200 were made with the CoronaImmunitas bus.
